Driven to help mankind, Sandra is a retired career Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, Hazmat Specialist, and Local 1091 Laborer who has learned physical and mental strength. She faced the important responsibility of preventing and controlling fires and responding to emergencies involving life, property, and the environment. She worked as part of an emergency and urgent care team, taking care of patients at the scene of an accident and while taking patients to the hospital. Her skills allow her to assess a patient’s condition and manage respiratory, cardiac, and trauma emergencies.
Sandra’s experience with environmental health and safety regulations allows for the proper handling and disposing of hazardous materials. She coordinates special waste disposal projects, including handling toxic gases, infectious materials, asbestos, PCBs, hazardous chemicals, and mixed waste, including radioactive materials.
