About

Michael Murray Jr., founder of Tribal Project Developers, has a diverse background in the construction industry, from laborer to managing multi-million-dollar projects. With a portfolio of major projects, he excels in project development, management, and owner representation. As a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, he advocates for tribal employment and contributes to his community through various advisory boards, committees, and various leadership.

Michael Murray Jr. embarked on a diverse professional journey, evolving from a laborer to a seasoned expert in the construction industry. Transitioning from laborer to flooring installation and interior finishes, he established himself as a contractor for residential and commercial projects. Managing large-scale installations in South Florida, he pursued an apprenticeship as a carpenter, ultimately joining the Carpenters Union.

As the owner of a union residential home-building business, Michael oversaw the construction of spec homes, mastering project development, management, and owner representation. With expertise in bidding, evaluating project services, and managing trade partners, he contributed to award-winning projects, including LEED-certified developments and a $125 million casino venture. His educational background includes vocational training, a carpenter apprenticeship, and General Contractor licensure, supplemented by certifications in design/installation.

Despite his many accomplishments, Michael remains deeply connected to his roots as a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. He advocates for tribal employment and volunteers in various capacities, contributing to boards such as the school, human services, compensation, insurance, ceded territory, and law enforcement. Michael’s commitment to tribal sovereignty and law shapes his professional endeavors and personal life, reflecting his dedication to community and heritage.
