At Rice Lake Construction Group, we know water. For more than 30 years, we’ve built structures and facilities that treat both water and wastewater. Our award-winning work includes more than 400 water-related plants, totaling over $2 billion in the upper Midwest. Rice Lake Construction Group is also a full-service commercial building contractor. From preconstruction meetings and planning to the completion of your project, Rice Lake Construction Group is an experienced and trustworthy building contractor that will manage every aspect of your commercial construction project. As a leading commercial contractor, Rice Lake Construction Group’s experienced staff — from our office team to the crews on our job sites — focuses on seamless communication and quality commercial construction. It’s how we create value for our clients, saving them both time and money along the way. Our locations in Deerwood MN, and Monticello MN, combined with more than three decades of experience, provide Rice Lake Construction Group with a critical depth of knowledge in understanding this region’s local, climatic, and geophysical construction conditions. Using four main methods of delivery — Design-Bid-Build Construction, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Build Construction, and Construction Management — we serve private entities as well as municipalities. Our experienced team works together with owners, engineers, and operators throughout the project to provide a quality product delivered on time and on budget.

Rice Lake Construction Group builds water treatment plants for drinking water as well as for the purpose of protecting the environment. The team at Rice Lake Construction Group has been making water safe to consume in countless communities since 1984. From a single well serving fewer than 100 customers to large metropolitan systems serving hundreds of thousands, Rice Lake Construction Group’s water treatment facilities ensure the safest and cleanest drinking water possible. As a leading contractor for both municipal and industrial water treatment facilities, Rice Lake Construction Group manages all aspects of the water treatment plant construction process, from design and build, to furnishing and installing mechanical and electrical equipment, to aesthetic masonry. This ability to manage most aspects of the water treatment plant construction process allows us to keep close tabs on every detail that goes into our projects, keeping the work rendered top-of-the-line, on schedule, and within budget.

Rice Lake Construction Group builds wastewater treatment facilities and systems that are safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly. From smaller, maintenance-related projects to brand-new treatment facilities, Rice Lake Construction Group’s 30-plus years of experience in building state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facilities are hard to match. Our ability to self-perform most aspects of the job — including structural excavation, site utilities, site grading, concrete work, masonry, carpentry, door and window installation, specialty construction, equipment installation, process piping installation and plumbing — allows us to add value to every wastewater treatment plant construction project. With more than 100 wastewater treatment plant construction projects completed and in progress (ranging in values up to $104 million each), Rice Lake Construction Group’s industry experience is second to none.

Through the years, Rice Lake Construction Group has gained experience as an industrial contractor by performing a number of specialty industrial construction projects for municipal and private industry clients. Whether it’s industrial construction (including mechanical, electrical, and structural work), equipment installation, or a remodeling project, we can help. From power plants to mines, Rice Lake Construction Group’s management and construction professionals have more than 30 years of experience in industrial construction. We deliver exceptional safety practices, high quality construction, and accurate project scopes, budgets and schedules, making us a leading contractor for industrial plant projects in the upper Midwest and West Coast of the United States. Most aspects of our industrial plant construction processes are self-performed, including:
• Mechanical piping
• Millwright services
• Equipment installation
• Site work
• Concrete foundations
• Mechanical and electrical systems
• Masonry
